Suven Pharma acquires formulations maker Casper Pharma for $20.5 M

Publicly listed Suven Pharmaceuticals is to acquire fellow Hyderabad-based Casper Pharma Private Limited (CPPL) for USD 20.5 million (INR 155 crore). Incorporated in January 2016, CPPL is engaged in manufacturing and supply of solid oral dosage formulations including tablets, capsules and liquid oral products through contractual arrangement with customers in the US and other regulated markets. CPPL, which is yet to reach commercially viable operations, has a formulations manufacturing facility with an installed capacity of 120 crore tablets and capsules and expected to be ready for USFDA inspection in the next six months.
