Tissue paper producer Origami acquired by Singapore’s APRIL Group

Singapore’s APRIL group, one of the largest global fibre, pulp and paper producers, has acquired a controlling stake in Origami , a Bengaluru-based consumer tissue products company. Post deal, Origami's founders will continue to hold a significant minority stake in the company and lead the business.The deal marks the entry of APRIL, a part of the Singapore-headquartered RGE Group, into the Indian tissue and personal hygiene market.Founded in 1995, Origami makes facial tissues, paper napkins, toilet tissue rolls, kitchen towels, hand towels, and wet wipes.

For FY23, Origami had reported INR 253.77 Cr in Operating Income and INR 1.73 Cr in PAT.
