UltraTech buys Burnpur Cement's Jharkhand grinding unit for Rs.170-Cr

UltraTech Cement has acquired 0.54 million tonne per annum (mtpa) of cement grinding assets from fellow publicly listed Burnpur Cement Limited at Patratu in Jharkhand, for about INR 170 crore. With this, the company's domestic capacity now stands at 133 mtpa. The assets were acquired under the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002.
