US co. Numero acquires finance automation startup Royu
US-based Numero has acquired Chennai-based finance automation startup Royu in a cash-and-stock deal. Following the acquisition, Royu co-founders Viswajith Vishwaa and Sathya Gunasekaran will join Numero’s leadership team.Founded in 2025, Royu develops AI accounting agents designed to automate financial workflows, including bookkeeping, invoice processing, reconciliations, month-end closing, and financial reviews.Numero is an AI-native platform that automates complex finance and accounting workflows - Q2C (Quote-to-Cash), P2P (Procure-to-Pay), and R2R (Record-to-Report) - for enterprise and mid-market companies by connecting disparate data sources, such as contracts and ERP systems. The consolidated platform aims to deploy AI workers across various finance functions, such as revenue management and order-to-cash processes.
