AMG Green Power's acquisition of Orix’s 20% stake in Greenko Energy gets CCI nod for $1.46 B
The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved AMG Green Power's proposal to acquire a stake in Greenko Energy Holdings (GEH) from Japan's financial conglomerate ORIX Corporation. ORIX has agreed to sell its 20% stake in GEH to AM Green Power for USD 1.46 Billion. It will also subscribe to convertible notes issued by AM Green (AMG Lux).GEH operates a diversified portfolio comprising wind, solar, hydro, and energy storage projects across the country.As per an earlier Bloomberg report, Netherlands-based AM Green Power BV is promoted by the founders of Greenko Energy Holdings.
