EV Motorcycle co. Raptee raises funding from Technology Development Board
Chennai-based electric motorcycle startup Raptee has raised funding from the Technology Development Board (TDB), Department of Science & Technology.Founded in 2019 Raptee claims to be the country's first motorcycle maker using high voltage battery and architecture, which can offer enhanced performance, reliability, and access to CCS2 car-charging infrastructure. The fresh funding will be used by the company to support its proprietary high-voltage architecture and help the company scale its presence in the USD 1 billion performance electric motorcycle category.
In Apr-23, Raptee had attracted about USD 3.95 M from Artha99, BlueHill Capital and others including angel investors like Chandu Nair, Lakshmi Narayanan, Others.
