HUL to pick up 27% in Brookfield's Rajasthan solar energy SPV for Rs.12-Cr

Canadian infrastructure investor Brookfield is partnering with publicly-listed fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) firm Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) to set up a solar energy park with 45 MW capacity in Rajasthan. HUL is to pick up a 27.73% for INR 12.15 crore in Transition Sustainable Energy Services One Pvt Ltd, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) incorporated by Brookfield Global Transition Fund. The deal will enable captive renewable energy procurement for the FMCG major.
