IIFL Home Finance secures $150-M loan from Japan’s JICA for women-focused affordable housing

Mumbai-based IIFL Home Finance is to receive a USD150 million loan from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) as part of a co-financing arrangement with the Asian Development Bank and private financial institutions, including Japan’s MUFG Bank.The company intends to use the funds to expand homeownership opportunities for women belonging to the economically weaker sections and low-income groups in urban and peri-urban areas across India, with the objective of improving living standards, promoting women’s economic empowerment, and advancing financial inclusion.

Jun 2022, IIFL Home Finance had attracted about $ 282 M from ADIA.For FY25, IIFL Home Finance had reported about INR 3,703 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 995 Cr in PAT.
