IKEA Group investment firm to invest in Rajasthan solar power project

Ingka Investments, the investment arm of Netherlands-based Ingka Group (which owns furniture seller IKEA India), is to invest in a 210 MWp solar project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The investment forms part of its INR 1,000 crore renewable energy commitment to India. The project partner for construction and the initial three years of operations will be ib vogt Solar India, a Germany-headquartered photovoltaic cell developer.The solar project has achieved a ready-to-build status, and operations would commence in December 2026. This installation is projected to produce 380 GWh of renewable energy annually, sufficient to power Ingka Group's expanding retail, shopping centre, and distribution operations in India.
