LegalPay funds logistics co Pidge to pursue lawsuit against Meatigo
LegalPay, a third-party litigation funder and interim financier, is financing Gurugram-based logistics firm Pidge to recover outstanding dues from online non-vegetarian products retailer Meatigo. In 2020, Meatigo engaged Pidge to provide logistic services across Delhi-NCR region and despite the delay and default in payment of invoices, Pidge continued to provide its services. Subsequently, Pidge initiated proceedings against Meatigo after the latter defaulted. LegalPay provides non-recourse funding in commercial legal claims in exchange for a share in the final recovery. LegalPay also provides interim finance to companies that are undergoing insolvency.
