A91 Partners closes second fund at $525-M
Mumbai-based growth capital investment firm A91 Partners has closed its second fund of around USD 525 million. The fund, which was founded by a team of Sequoia Capital India executives three years ago, bets largely on companies across technology, consumer and financial services. It has backed companies such as Digit Insurance, cosmetic brand Sugar and software platform Exotel, among others. Having made 11 investments and with USD 250 million in capital deployed, A91 will continue to focus on cutting cheques averaging USD 30 million. It may look to back more technology firms through its latest fund.
From the Venture Intelligence Funds Database: A91 had closed its $350-M maiden fund - A91 Emerging Fund I - in May 2019.
