Aavishkaar Capital’s Global Supply Chain Support Fund raises $40-M from JICA
Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has committed USD 40 million (about INR 334 crore) to Mumbai-based impact investor Aavishkaar Capital’ s Global Supply Chain Support Fund.The Global Supply Chain Support Fund (GSC Fund) is Aavishkaar Capital’s eighth fund and is aimed at emerging corporations in global supply chains across sectors such as agriculture, food processing, and manufacturing.The fund is aiming to raise a total corpus of USD 220 million and offers non-dilutive capital solutions aimed at supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with climate and social impact. The fund has already made eight investments across Asia and Africa, investing around USD 30 million.Founded in 2001, Aavishkaar Capital has about USD 550 million in assets under management (AUM) across eight funds.
