AC maker Optimist in talks to raise $10-M from TDK Ventures
Gurugram-based air conditioning startup Optimist is in talks to raise approximately USD 10-M in a fresh funding round from TDK Ventures.Founded in 2024 by Ashish Goel and Pranav Chopra, Optimist manufactures air conditioners specifically designed for the Indian climate. The firm operates an in-house R&D facility in Gurugram, focusing on heat transfer, humidity control, and thermodynamics. The firm recently launched its products through its own website and Amazon, with an initial geographic focus on Delhi NCR, Rajasthan, and western Uttar Pradesh. The firm is currently expanding its offline retail footprint.The cooling solutions firm plans to utilize the capital to address the low penetration of air conditioners across India’s 300 million households.
Between Sep 2024 and Dec 2025, Optimist had attracted about $ 16 M from Accel India, Blume Ventures, Mehta Equities, SiriusOne Capital, Sparrow Capital, Spectrum Impact, Others.For FY25, Optimist had reported about INR 2 Cr in Net Loss.
