Accel India, Info Edge in $12-M round for US-based med-tech co. Biostate AI
Houston, TX (USA)- and Bengaluru-based RNA sequencing firm Biostate AI has raised USD 12 million in a Series A funding round led by ?Accel? India. The round also saw participation from Info Edge Ventures, Gaingels, Mana Ventures, as well as existing investors Matter Venture Partners, Vision Plus Capital, and Catapult Ventures.Founded in 2023 by David Zhang and Ashwin Gopinath, Biostate AI is building generative AI models to predict disease progression and drug response using RNA sequencing data.The startup will use the fresh capital to expand access to integrated precision medicine, starting with RNA sequencing (RNAseq) services for US-based molecular research.
