Advent, EQT mull investment in autocomp player Pricol’s smart mobility biz

US-headquartered Advent International and Sweden-based EQT are evaluating an investment in the driver information and connected vehicle solutions (DICVS) business of the Coimbatore-based Pricol. Veda Capital Advisors is advising the promoters on the potential transaction.Founded in 1975 by Vijay Mohan, Pricol is engaged in the business of automotive technology and precision engineering. The DICVS business, which the company plans to spin off into a new entity called Pricol Autotech, focuses on smart mobility and integrated electronic solutions, including instrument clusters, infotainment systems, e-cockpit solutions, telematics, and battery management systems. The company intends to use the fresh capital raised for its inorganic expansion plans.The DICVS business recorded a turnover of INR 2,424.63 crore for the financial year 2026, accounting for 61.17% of Pricol’s consolidated turnover.
