Advent exits Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals with 3.63x; sells shares worth Rs.1,348-Cr

Private Equity firm Advent International has sold its residual 5.36% stake in publicly listed Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. (CGCEL) realizing INR 1,348.06 crore. With the latest sale, on Jun 9, 2021 through a bulk deal on the BSE, Advent has made a complete exit from CGCEL with a 3.63x return on its investment.

From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: In Apr 2015, Advent International and Temasek had invested INR 1,300 Cr and INR 700 Cr respectively for a 34.37% stake in Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals. Advent made three part exits before the latest sale.
