Agilitas acquires sportswear brand One8; gets Rs.40-Cr from promoter Virat Kohli
Cricketer Virat Kohli has invested INR 40 crore to acquire a minority stake in Bengaluru-based Agilitas Sports . As part of this transaction, Agilitas Sports has acquired One8 , Kohli’s sportswear brand.One8, which was established by Kohli in 2017 in collaboration with German sportswear brand Puma, focuses on athleisure, performance wear, footwear, and accessories, primarily distributed through online marketplaces. Agilitas intends to relaunch One8 as an independent global sportswear brand.This development occurs following the conclusion of Kohli's eight-year contract with Puma.Founded in 2023 by Abhishek Ganguly, Agilitas Sports had previously raised INR 100 crore from Nexus Venture Partners in December 2023 and INR 400 crore from funds managed by Convergent Finance LLP in May 2023. The company also acquired Mochiko Shoes Pvt. Ltd. in 2023 and long-term licence rights for the Italian sports brand Lotto in India, Australia, and South Africa.
Between Mar 2023 and Sep 2024, Agilitas Sports had attracted about USD 73 M from Spring Marketing Capital, Nexus Venture Partners, Convergent Finance and others.
