Agnit Semiconductors attracts $3.5 M co-led by 3ONE4 Capital, Zephyr Peacock
Bengaluru-based Gallium Nitride (GaN) semiconductor maker Agnit Semiconductors has raised USD 3.5 million in a seed funding round led by ?3ONE4 Capital? and Zephyr Peacock. The round also saw participation from Lakshmi Narayanan, former Vice Chairman of Cognizant. The company plans to use the fresh capital to scale production and commercial operations.Founded in 2019 by Hareesh Chandrasekar, Digbijoy Neelim Nath, Madhusudan Atre, Mayank Shrivastava, Muralidharan Rangarajan, Shankar Kumar Selvaraja and Srinivasan Raghavan. Agnit Semiconductors manufactures GaN materials (wafers) and electronic components primarily for radio-frequency applications. It was incubated by the Gallium Nitride Ecosystem Enabling Centre and Incubator, managed by the Foundation for Science Innovation and Development (FSID) at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeITY).
