Agri-biotech startup GreenGrahi raises Rs.32-Cr led by Avaana Capital
Bengaluru-based agri-biotech startup GreenGrahi has raised INR 32 crore (around USD 3.73 million) in a funding round led by Avaana Capital. The round also saw participation from Huddle, Campus Fund, Blume Founders Fund, and angel investors, including Nexus Ventures’ Nitin Sharma and Northpoint Capital’s Sameer Brij Verma. The fresh capital will be used for advancing the firm's insect biomanufacturing platform, recruiting new talent, and driving international growth.Founded in 2021 by Siddharth Sharma and Shivali Sugand, GreenGrahi leverages biotechnology and engineering to create premium insect-based ingredients and supplements for animal and plant nutrition. It follows a circular model, using agricultural by-products sourced from partner FMCG firms and agri-input providers. It currently serves more than 10 clients across animal and plant nutrition.
In July 2023, GreenGrahi had attracted about USD 1 M from Campus Fund.
