Agri-finance startup Ono raises $1.2 M led by Aeravti Ventures; acquires stake in NBFC
Bengaluru-based agri-finance startup Ono has raised USD 1.2 million in a pre-series A funding round led by Aeravti Ventures. The round also saw participation from Tremis Capital and angel investors.Founded in 2021 by Rama Rao Kancharapu and David Pokuri, Ono operates a data and AI-led platform designed to address challenges in post-harvest agricultural trade and financing. The company connects farmers, traders, transporters, and buyers by providing market intelligence, pricing insights, logistics support, and access to formal credit.The new funds will be used to strengthen its technology infrastructure, expand its presence into new markets, and deepen its lending ecosystem.Ono has also acquired a significant stake in an NBFC to enhance its credit accessibility and lending capabilities for agri-SMEs (small and medium enterprises).
Between Jul 2022 and Apr 2024, ONO Ark had attracted about $2-M from Aeravti Ventures and Indigram Labs Foundation.
