Agri-fintech startup KiVi raises $1.5 M from Pawan Goenka, others

Chennai-headquartered agri fintech startup KiVi ( Agrosperity Tech Solutions ) has raised around USD 1.5 million (around INR 12 crore) in a pre Series A funding round from angels and venture capital firms including Pawan Goenka (INSPACe Chairman), Enrission India Capital Inc, Piper Serica Angel Fund, YAN Angel Fund, Thinkuvate Fund, Eaglewings Rise Fund, AL Trust and others.The IIT-Madras Incubation Cell startup enables credit, commerce and distribution to the entire farmgate ecosystem comprising farmers and rural agriculture entrepreneurs. It serves Tamil Nadu and Bihar markets and plans to enter other southern states in the coming years. The company is also in the process of obtaining an NBFC license. Till date, 12,000 farmers and agri entrepreneurs have benefited from credit enabled by KiVi for a total value of INR 90 crore.
