Agri-focused fintech startup Jai Kisan raises Rs.26.5 Cr led by Mirae Asset

Mumbai-based rural fintech startup Jai Kisan has raised INR 26.5 crore (USD 3 million) in a Series B funding round. The company has issued 980 compulsorily cumulative preference shares (CCPS) at INR 2,70,133 per share to raise the sum.The round saw participation from existing investors Mirae Asset Venture (INR 12.5 crore), Unitary Fund (INR 12 crore) and Blume Ventures (INR 2 crore).Co-founded in 2017 by Arjun Ahluwalia and Adriel Maniego, Jai Kisan provides sustainable finance for rural markets to meet their working capital needs and to purchase agricultural equipment.

Between Mar-19 and Aug-22, Jai Kisan had attracted about USD 89 M from Astarc Ventures, Blume Ventures, Prophetic Ventures,Arkam Ventures,NAB Ventures, BlackSoil Capital, Stride Ventures, Trifecta Capital, Mirae Asset Global Investments and others
