Agri-food network Ayekart to raise Rs.65-Cr from Vihu Hospitality, Enchant Packaging
Mumbai-based startup focused on the agricultural food segment, Ayekart , is to raise INR 65 crore (about USD 7.4 million) in a fresh funding round from Vihu Hospitality Pvt Ltd (INR 35 crore) and Enchant Packaging Pvt Ltd (INR 30 crore).With the company expecting to raise additional funds, the total fundraise is anticipated to reach INR 150 crore, including up to INR 35 crore from existing investor Omnivore in the ongoing Series B round.Founded in 2020, Ayekart operates as a vertically integrated agri-food platform connecting farmers and FPOs (Farmer Producer Organisations) for sourcing, processing commodities through partners, and distributing products. Ayekart offers quality checks, logistics, payments, and traceability using proprietary technology.The fresh funds will be used to expand the firm’s retail and distribution business and to strengthen the sourcing, processing, and supply of raw materials. Co-founder and CEO Debarshi Dutta holds a 25.91% stake in the firm.
Between Oct 2022 and Mar 2024, Ayekart had attracted about USD 20 M from Omnivore Partners, Siana Capital, Unleash Capital Partners, Caspian Advisors, Qi Ventures and others.
