Agri-tech startup Agrograde raises funding from CIIE.CO
Maharashtra-based agri-tech startup Agrograde, developing solutions to improve marketability of fruits and vegetables using Artificial Intelligence based grading and sorting solutions, has raised a seed round from CIIE.CO, Social Alpha, and Villgro. Agrograde's solutions detect size, colour, foreign objects, surface quality, defects, diseases, shape and variety of a commodity for grading. Its patent-pending smart machines grade, sort and pack fruits and vegetables using Artificial Intelligence. Agrograde plans to use the funds to expand its technology team to target new crops and increase its manufacturing capacity. The company plans to enter new geographies and increase offerings in the post-harvest space.
