Agritech co Kisankonnect raises $4.5 M from Mistry Ventures, angels
Pune-based agritech startup Kisankonnect has raised USD 4.5 million in Series A round led by Mistry Ventures with participation from Brand Capital, Shilpa Shetty, VC-Grid, Vishwang Desai and family offices.Founded by Vivek Nirmal and Nidhi Nirmal in 2020, Kisankonnect claims to deliver fresh produce from locally sourced farms directly to customers at fair prices. The company also provides products in categories dairy, oils, and other essentials.The funds will be used by the firm to expand in urban markets, scale operations, enhance tech infrastructure, and enable artificial intelligence (AI) in farm sourcing and supply chain operations.
In Dec-23, KisanKonnect had raised about USD 3 M from Breathe Capital, Green Frontier Capital and others.For FY24, KisanKonnect had reported about INR 147 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 47 Cr in Net loss.
