Agritech startup AgNext raises Series B funding led by Novo Holdings
Mumbai- and Abu Dhabi-based agritech startup AgNext Technologies has raised Series B funding led by Denmark-based Novo Holdings. J Sagar Associates advised existing investors Omnivore Partners and Alpha Wave Incubation on the deal, while Khaitan & Co. advised Novo Holdings on the transaction.Founded in 2016 with operations in India and Abu Dhabi, UAE, AgNext provides a platform for food quality evaluations notably in grains, pulses, oilseeds, spices and herbs. The new funding will be used to develop technologies for food quality assessments and enable the building of a team that will scale its product sales internationally and into new food segments.
Between Mar 2018 and Aug 2021, AgNext had raised about USD 25 M from Kalaari Capital, Omnivore Partners, Alpha Wave and others.
