AI-based data security startup Matters.ai raises Rs.55-Cr led by Kalaari, Endiya Partners

Bengaluru- and California (US)-based data security startup Matters AI has raised INR 55 crore led by Kalaari Capital and Endiya Partners with participation from Better Capital, Carya Venture Partners and angel investors.Matters is an AI-native data security platform which claims to protect sensitive data wherever it lives or travels, across Cloud, SaaS, Endpoints, and On-Prem systems by combining semantic intelligence, behavioural context, and real-time enforcement.The fresh funding will be used by the company to accelerate R&D in predictive detection, expand go-to-market operations in India and the US, and strengthen engineering and customer success teams serving regulated industries under the DPDP framework.
