AI-focused VC firm Activate raises $105-M for maiden fund
Bengaluru-based Activate , an AI-focused venture capital firm, has raised USD 105-M for its maiden fund less than a year after its launch. The capital structure comprises an USD 85-M early-stage fund and USD 20-M deployed through dedicated growth-stage vehicles. The early-stage fund closed at 125% above its original target.Activate was founded in December 2025 by Aakrit Vaish and Pratyush Choudhury. Since inception, the firm has completed 10 investments. These include seven early-stage bets and three growth-stage investments in companies such as Sarvam AI, ElevenLabs, and Wispr Flow.The firm intends to use the capital to back Indian AI companies ranging from their earliest stages through growth.
