AI security startup Repello raises $ 1.2 M from Venture Highway, pi Ventures, others
Bengaluru- and San Francisco-based Repello , an artificial intelligence security startup specialising in red teaming and guardrails for generative AI systems, has raised USD 1.2 million in seed funding. The round saw participation from Venture Highway (now part of General Catalyst), pi Ventures, Entrepreneur First, and angels including Meta board member Charles Songhurst, Sarvam.ai CEO Vivek Raghavan, and Project Hero’s Satya Vyas.Founded in 2024 by IIT Roorkee alumni Aryaman Behera and Naman Mishra, Repello has started two platforms, Artemis and Repello Guard, to help enterprises continuously test and protect their GenAI applications from evolving threats. The firm’s clients include Groww and PhysicsWallah.The funding will be used to expand Repello’s red teaming and threat intelligence capabilities, deepen product integrations, and grow customer base across sectors such as healthcare, financial services, insure-tech, and digital-native enterprises.
