Alcobev startup Cherrapunji Craft Gin raises $1.2 M
Shillong-based alcoholic beverage startup Cherrapunji Craft Gin (belonging to Raincheck Earth Co.) has raised USD 1.2 million in pre-Series A round from Japanese investors. The round also saw participation from AngelList India Syndicate, who doubled down on previous investments. The fresh proceeds will be used to accelerate the firm's domestic and global expansion, enhance distribution and market visibility.Founded in 2022 by Mayukh Hazarika, Cherrapunji Eastern Craft Gin offers alcoholic beverages from purified rainwater and native botanicals sourced near their distillery in Cherrapunji.
