Alzheimer’s-focused eNLife Research raises Rs.6-Cr led by Piper Serica
Bengaluru-based eNLife Research has raised INR 6 crore in a seed funding round led by Piper Serica VC Fund to accelerate the development of its blood biomarker platform for the early detection of Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative disorders.Founded by Deepak Kumaran Nair, Jojo Jacob and Anish Mathew and incubated at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), the company is developing a blood-based diagnostic test designed to identify Alzheimer's disease up to 15 years before the onset of clinical symptoms. The company is collaborating with researchers associated with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Hyderabad, and the Centre for Brain Research (CBR), Bengaluru to develop biomarker datasets tailored to the Indian population.The funding will be used to expand the company's research and development team, advance clinical validation of its technology and move its first diagnostic assay from prototype to clinical-grade validation.
