Ambulance startup Dial4242 raises Rs.9-Cr from IAN, others

Mumbai-based Dial4242 , a tech-enabled ambulance service platform, has raised INR 9 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by IAN with participation from IIM Bangalore NSRCEL, BioAngels, and other angel investors.The startup will use the new capital to improve its turnaround time (TAT) from 12 minutes to under 8 minutes. It will also invest in technology upgrades, marketing, expansion of medical centers in underserved areas, and leadership hires.Founded in 2016 by Jeetendra Lalwani, with Nilesh Mahambre and Atin Verma as co-founders, Dial4242 operates an on-demand ambulance network at more than 850 locations. The startup's online platform offers real-time ambulance tracking, automated dispatch and a 24-hour call center.
