Amicus Capital closes second fund with $214-M
Bengaluru-based private equity firm Amicus Capital Partners has marked the final close of its second fund at USD 214 million (approx. INR 1,800 crore). The fund saw participation from domestic and international investors, including sovereign funds, funds-of-funds, insurance companies, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.The Amicus Capital Partners India Fund II is a category II Alternative Investment Fund (AIF). It was launched in March 2023 with an aim to back small and medium-sized private companies and was closed in the first quarter of 2025. The fund will have an initial cheque size of INR 100-200 crore, which can go up to INR 400 crore. It will target 10-12 companies in consumer, financial services, healthcare, technology, business services and specialty manufacturing. It has already invested in three companies: Aequs, Equirus Capital and Manipal Payments & Identity Solutions.
