Anicut Capital targets Rs.3,000-Cr fundraise across 4 new funds Carnelian Capital plans Rs.2,000-Cr

Anicut Capital currently manages an assets under management (AUM) of INR 4,500 crore across six existing funds, evenly split between private credit and equity portfolios.Mumbai-based investment manager Carnelian Capital plans to launch a private equity fund targeting a corpus between INR 1,500-Cr and INR 2,000-Cr. The firm intends to raise this maiden fund within the next 12 to 18 months.The fund intends to target growth-stage and pre-IPO companies across sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, consumer businesses, and innovation-led firms. It would make about 15 investments with ticket sizes between INR 50 Cr and INR 150 Cr. Carnelian Capital plans to contribute roughly INR 100 Cr of its own capital to the fund. The firm has already identified potential investments to be transferred into the fund following its first close.Founded by Vikas Khemani, Carnelian Capital currently oversees about INR 18,300 Cr across portfolio management services and alternative investment funds. The firm plans to direct the new capital toward profitable companies seeking growth funding in the range of INR 100 Cr and INR 300 Cr.
