Anup Jain, Rajeev Suri float $75-M VC fund BlueGreen Ventures
Anup Jain and Rajeev Suri, who quit as managing partners of Orios Venture Partners in September 2023, have floated a new VC investment firm - BlueGreen Ventures. The firm is looking to raise USD 75 million with a greenshoe option of another USD 25-30 million.The fund will back startups in the early stage and will also pick stakes in pre-IPO companies through secondary transactions. It will focus on sectors such as climate and sustainability, fintech and consumer businesses.For early-stage investments, the fund will lead the round with an average cheque size ranging from INR 7 crore to INR 12 crore, while for late-stage companies, the amount will range between INR 20 crore and INR 30 crore.
