Apax Partners acquires minority stake in iD Fresh Food via secondary deal

Bengaluru-based iD Fresh Food has received funding from Apax Partners LLP, in return for a minority stake acquired from existing shareholders Premji Invest and TPG NewQuest.Both Premji Invest and TPG NewQuest will continue to retain part stakes alongside iD Fresh Food’s co-founder, PC Musthafa, and his family members.Founded in 2005, iD Fresh Food primarily sells dosa and idli batter. Its product portfolio also includes Indian flatbreads, accompaniments such as chutneys and sambar, and value-added dairy products. Currently, it operates in more than 50 cities across India and the Gulf region, employing approximately 2,400 individuals.

Between 2014 and 2021 , ID Fresh Foods had attracted about USD 100 M from PremjiInvest, TPG Newquest, Helion Ventures, Peak XV Partners.For FY25, ID Fresh Foods had reported about 35.11 INR Cr in Operating Income and about 50.75 INR Cr in PAT.
