Apollo Hospitals acquires IFC's 31% in lifestyle arm for Rs.1,254-Cr

Chennai-headquartered Apollo Hospitals Enterprise (AHEL) has acquired International Finance Corporation’s (IFC’s) 30.58% stake (41.65 million shares) in Apollo Health and Lifestyle (AHLL). AHEL would acquire the shares from IFC and IFC EAF Apollo Investment Company for INR 1,254 crore, at INR 301.09 per share. The transaction will raise AHEL’s stake in AHLL to 99.42%.AHLL runs a chain of standardised primary healthcare centers in India and the Middle East, including multi-speciality clinics (Apollo Clinic), diabetes management clinics (Apollo Sugar), women's and children's centres (Apollo Cradle), and planned surgery centres (Apollo Spectra). AHLL also provides diagnostic services (Apollo Diagnostics) and dialysis facilities.AHLL reported a turnover of INR 1,553.5 crore in FY25, up from INR 1,365.3 crore in FY24.

Between May 2016 and Nov 2019, Apollo Health & Lifestyle had attracted about USD 68 M from IFC.
