AR-based social commerce platform SpotKwik acquired by US co. Omnia
SpotKwik , a Bengaluru-based augmented reality (AR) startup, has been acquired by Chicago, IL (USA)-based extended reality firm Omnia.SpotKwik , founded in 2020 by Mithun Adith and Anusha Sundar, is a social commerce platform that uses AR to enhance shopping experiences. In 2020, SpotKwik raised funds from Silicon Valley's MARL 5G Accelerator. The startup provides AI-enabled deep tagging solutions and AR as a service to empower consumer experiences.Omnia's XR distribution expertise and clients like Tesla, AOI, and GM are expected to help it integrate SpotKwik's research and development capabilities into its offerings. SpotKwik’s core team will continue with Omnia and build solutions that redefine immersive experiences and transform how users engage with brands.
