Aromatherapy brand Secret alchemist raises $3-M led by Unilever Ventures
Mumbai-based Secret Alchemist has raised USD 3 million in a funding round led by Unilever Ventures, with participation from DSG Consumer Partners. The funding round was a mix of primary and secondary capital, with USD 2.5 million as primary capital and the remainder as secondary fundraise, in which early angel investors sold their stakes.The company had previously raised USD 898,000 in a seed funding round led by IPV.Co-founded in 2022 by Ankita Thadani, Akash Valia, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Secret Alchemist is a clean fragrance and aromatherapy brand. It claims to sell toxin-free perfumes and wellness products derived from natural ingredients and aromatherapy principles.Secret Alchemist plans to use the new funds for branding and marketing, widening its product portfolio, and expanding its team. The brand's products are available on its direct-to-consumer website, e-commerce platforms like Amazon, and quick commerce apps including Blinkit.
For FY24, 0.15 had reported about INR Cr in Operating Loss and about 0.15 INR Cr in Net Loss.
