Ashmore Alchemy exits Zim Labs by selling shares worth Rs.29.6 Cr, registers 0.66x return

Ashmore Alchemy, via AA Development Capital India Fund 1 LLC, has sold 3,565,304 equity shares (21.95% stake) at INR 83.01 each of publicly listed pharma firm Zim Laboratories Ltd. on Jun 21, 2021, through a bulk deal on the BSE. The sale aggregates to INR 29.6 crore.
From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: In Nov 2012, Ashmore Alchemy invested INR 45 crore for a 22% stake in the target. Zim Laboratories got listed on the OTC Exchange of India in 1994. SEBI withdrew its recognition of it in March 2015 and it got listed on BSE in Jun 2018.
