Astrotalk joins unicorn club following ESOP buyback
Delhi NCR-based Astrotalk has joined the unicorn club following an ESOP (Employee Stock Option Plan) buyback that valued the company at USD 1 Billion. More than 100 employees participated in the sale of shares during this exercise. With this development, the company has become India’s 133rd unicorn.Founded in 2017 by Puneet Gupta and Anmol Jain, Astrotalk provides astrology consultation services. The company claims to have served over 40 million users across India, the US, the UK, Canada, and Australia.
Between Feb 2024 and Jun 2024, AstroTalk had attracted about USD 34-M from Elev8 Venture Partners and Left Lane Capital.For FY25, AstroTalk had reported about INR 1,151 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 30 Cr in PAT.
