Autocomp player Dhoot Transmission raises funding from Bain Capital
Aurangabad-based automotive components manufacturer Dhoot Transmission Group has raised an investment from private equity firm Bain Capital.The investment will be used to strengthen the company’s position in high-demand automotive segments, foster innovation, and support global expansion through acquisitions and partnerships.Founded in 1999 by Rahul Dhoot, the son of Videocon Group’s co-founder Rajkumar Dhoot, the firm manufactures and supplies wiring harnesses, sensors, controllers, and other automotive components. The company claims to employ more than 10,000 across over 20 manufacturing facilities in India, the UK, Slovakia, and Thailand.
For FY24, Dhoot Transmissions had reported about INR 2,644 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 211 Cr in PAT.
