Axis Max Life Insurance raises Rs.285-Cr from IFC
The International Finance Corporation (IFC) has invested INR 285 crore (approximately USD 33 million) in Gurugram-based Axis Max Life Insurance Ltd . This marks IFC's first investment in an Indian life insurer, carried out through long-term subordinated instruments.The investment aims to bolster Axis Max Life's solvency margin and support its expansion. As per its annual audited financials for FY25, Axis Max Life Insurance recorded a gross written premium of INR 33,223 crore.
