B2B logistics optimization co Locus raises $50-M from GIC, Qualcomm Ventures, others

Bengaluru-based business-to-business (B2B) logistics optimisation startup Locus has raised USD 50 million in Series C funding led by GIC, Singapore's sovereign wealth fund, with participation from Qualcomm Ventures LLC and existing investors Tiger Global and Falcon Edge. Angel investors Amrish Rau, CEO of Pine Labs; Kunal Shah, CEO of Cred; Raju Reddy, founder of Sierra Atlantic; and Deb Deep Sengupta, former President & MD, SAP South Asia, also participated in the round. Locus is a technology platform that uses machine learning and proprietary algorithms to automate complex supply chain decisions. It has offices in the US, the UK, India, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Germany. It will use the funds for improving geographical reach and building its R&D team to expand the product line.
