Backpacker hostel chain The Hosteller raises Rs.150-Cr from Promaft, V3 Ventures, others
Mumbai-based branded hostel chain The Hosteller has raised INR 150 crore in a Series B round of funding led by Promaft Partners and V3 Ventures. The round also saw participation from ITI Growth Opportunities Fund, Merisis Wealth Trust, and family offices.Founded in 2014, The Hosteller operates a chain of hostels across the country, providing community-driven accommodation with over 75 properties across 13 states.The company plans to use the new funds to expand into key travel destinations, enhance operational efficiency, and strengthen its brand. The company is also preparing to launch a travel super app designed to integrate accommodation, food and beverage, mobility, and curated experiences onto a single platform.
Between Nov 2021 and Nov 2024, The Hosteller had attracted about USD 7 M from Subhkam Ventures, Sunicon Ventures, Ice VC, Synergy Capital, V3 Ventures, BlackSoil Capital and others.For FY25, The Hosteller had reported about INR 72 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 15 Cr in Net Loss.
