Bain Capital sells 2.4 % stake in Emcure Pharma for Rs.563-Cr
Bain Capital, through its unit BC Investments IV, has divested a 2.37% stake in Pune-based Emcure Pharmaceuticals for INR 563 crore through an open market transaction.The shares were disposed of at an average price of INR 1,250.44 apiece, taking the transaction value to INR 562.70 crore. Post transaction, Bain's shareholding in Emcure has come down to 6.31 % from 8.68 %.Emcure Pharma is engaged in developing, manufacturing and globally marketing a broad range of products across several major therapeutic areas. It reported a PAT of INR 121 crore on a consolidated basis a year ago.
Bain Capital had invested about $100 M in Emcure in 2014 and made a part exit as part of the company’s IPO in July 2024.
