Bain Capital sells addl Himadri Speciality Chemical shares worth Rs.26-Cr, registers 1.2x return

Bain Capital has sold a 1.19% stake at INR 52.75 per share of publicly listed Himadri Speciality Chemical Ltd. on Jul 26, 2021 through a bulk deal on the BSE. The sale aggregates to INR 26.38 crore. Post the latest sale, the investor would hold 43,178,860 equity shares (10.31% stake) in the company.

From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: Between Dec 2009 and Mar 2010, Bain Capital had invested INR 412.72 Cr in Himadri Speciality Chemical Ltd. (formerly known as Himadri Chemicals and Industries Ltd.). It started selling shares of the company in Feb 2021.
