BanyanTree Growth Capital sells HBL Power Systems shares worth Rs.85-Cr, registers 2.56x

BanyanTree Growth Capital has sold shares worth INR 84.65 crore in publicly listed battery manufacturing company HBL Power Systems Ltd. between Feb 2, 2022 and Apr 19, 2022. Post the latest sales, the investor holds a 5.90% stake in HBL.

From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: In Jul 2012, BanyanTree Growth Capital had invested INR 75 crore in Beaver Engineering (holding company of listed HBL Power Systems Ltd.). In 2017, Beaver Engineering amalgamated with HBL Power Systems through Share Swap deal. Other PE investors in HBL include Oman India Joint Investment Fund.
