Baring Asia sells addnl Coforge shares worth Rs.616-Cr, registers 2.22x return

Baring Asia has sold 1,900,000 equity shares (3.14% stake) at INR 3,242.26 apiece of publicly listed Coforge Ltd (formerly NIIT Technologies Ltd.) on May 10, 2021, through a bulk deal on the BSE. The sale aggregates to INR 616.03 crore. Post the sale, the investor will hold 36,871,260 equity shares (60.85% stake) in the company.

In Apr 2019, Baring Asia invested INR 6,062.72 crore for a 70.05% stake in Coforge. It made a part exit in Oct 2020
