Baring Asia sells balance 26.7% in CMS Info Systems for Rs.1,547-Cr

Baring Private Equity Asia, through its unit Sion Investment Holdings, has completely exited its stake in listed cash management solutions provider CMS Info Systems Ltd. The company offloaded its remaining 26.7% holding, or 41.77 million shares, at an average of about INR 370.38 per share, aggregating to about INR 1,547 crore via the stock exchanges on February 27.In 2015, Baring Asia had acquired a 100% stake in CMS Info Systems from fellow PE firm Blackstone, the Grover family and the company’s management team, for INR 2,000 crore. The company had gone public in December 2021, as part of which, Baring Asia sold a part stake. It then sold further stakes via the public markets through 2023.
